The St. Francis DeSales High School Athletic Department is happy to introduce several new, but familiar faces as Head Coaches for the upcoming seasons!

Spring Sports

ANDREA NAVAR
BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Andrea has spent 17 years at St. Francis DeSales serving as a teacher in our Science Department. She began as an assistant coach with the Girls Volleyball Program from 2006-2008 and 2013-2020. In 2014 she joined Coach Andy Feltz’s Boys Volleyball Coaching Staff. Andrea was an assistant coach on the 2019 Division I Girls Volleyball State Championship Team, as well as the 2023 Division II Boys Volleyball State Championship.

SARAH EVANS-JACOBS ‘17
SOFTBALL

Sarah has been an assistant coach for the Stallions for the last 3 seasons with her predecessor, Rick Conti. In 2022, Sarah returned to her Alma Mater as the Director of Alumni, Events and Family Engagement.

Fall Sports

HANNAH LEE
GIRLS GOLF

Coach Lee joined the Girls Golf Program in 2022 as an assistant coach under ten-year Head Coach, Charlie Mitchell. Hannah’s sister Samantha is a Spanish Teacher at SFD.

STEVE ULRY
GIRLS SOCCER

Steve will once again return to the sidelines with the Girls Soccer Program after spending last season with the Boys Program. Coach Ulry has over 20 years of coaching experience including as an assistant coach at Otterbein College from 2002-2004 and two previous stints as the Head Girls Soccer Coach at SFD in 2005-2007 and Interim in 2015. He also served as the Head JV Coach and a Varsity Assistant from 2004-2005 and 2012-2021. Steve is in his 31st year of teaching Social Studies at SFD.

ARTURO SANABRIA
GIRLS TENNIS

Arturo has served as an assistant coach for the past two seasons and takes over for Jenna Mar. Coach Sanabria’s daughter, Olivia, is a member of the SFD Class of 2024 and she is a three sport athlete (tennis, swimming, and lacrosse).
