Little Stallions Wrestling

Every wrestler starts somewhere. For the next generation of Stallions, that journey starts here.

St. Francis DeSales alumnus Mike Fickell and former Girls Wrestling Head Coach Tom Jones are bringing back the Little Stallions Wrestling Program to give elementary school students a place to discover the sport, find their confidence, and become part of a team.

Our purpose is simple: help kids grow through wrestling. Learning a new move, working with a practice partner, and getting back up after a tough match offer lessons that reach well beyond the wrestling room. With coaches who encourage and challenge them, our young athletes will learn to trust themselves, respect others, and take pride in the work they put in.

We want children to feel welcome from their very first practice and excited for the next one. That means making room for questions, celebrating small breakthroughs, and keeping the joy of being a kid at the center of the experience.

Little Stallions is an opportunity to connect families across our DeSales community and begin new friendships and traditions. Together, we’re giving young wrestlers a strong start—on the mat and wherever life takes them.
