Varsity
Making the team
We do not have tryouts but we do conduct spring and summer practices which are open to returning players, incoming freshmen and 8th graders who are considering DeSales as an option.
Practice
Practices during the season are Monday and Tuesday nights 7:30-8:30 and Thursday nights from 9:00-10:00. All practices are at the Easton Chiller. We play 2-3 games per weekend (Friday-Sunday) for a total of approximately 35 games per season. The season goes from November until late February, early March.
Incoming Freshmen Activities
All of the team’s off-season practices are open to 7th and 8th graders who are interested in attending St. Francis DeSales High School as Freshmen. These practices are conducted in the summer, usually in June and July. There are also numerous opportunities for our incoming freshmen and their families to get involved with the team prior to the start of the school year. The team has a 3-3 spring league team, a 5-5 summer league team, summer training camps and numerous off-ice team building activities such as a canoe trip, family picnic, and many other events. Currently we only field a varsity program.
Capital Hockey Conference
The Stallions compete in the Capital Hockey Conference along with 14 other varsity-recognized teams.
